Job Description

Assisted living caregivers typically have a wide range of responsibilities, which can include: Monitoring residents' physical health by checking blood pressure, glucose levels, and other key indicators on a regular basis. Providing companionship to residents who may feel lonely or isolated. Helping residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, feeding, and toileting. Assisting with memory care for patients with Alzheimer's disease or other types of dementia by encouraging them to engage in cognitive exercises such as playing music or games that stimulate memory. Helping residents with their medication schedules and keeping records of medication use and progress toward treatment goals. Coordinating with physicians, social workers, physical therapists, and other medical staff to ensure that residents receive appropriate care. Providing basic nursing services, such as changing bandages and applying ointments. Providing personal care services such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and feeding. Assisting with housekeeping and meal preparation.
Qualifications/Requirements:
Required CBRF Certifications which includes: Medication Administration First Aid Fire Safety Standard Precautions- Experience with long term care, assisted living, and caring for elders preferred
- Proficiency in providing ADLs, memory care, and Alzheimer's care
- Ability to work with individuals with developmental disabilities and seniors
- Knowledge of resident's rights and behavior management
- Experience with Hoyer lift, meal preparation, and EMR systems is a plus

$15.00- $16.
