This vital role involves providing personalized care, assisting with activities of daily living, and ensuring a safe, comfortable environment for clients across various settings. Duties Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting to promote comfort and hygiene. Support residents with mobility and transfer methods using equipment like Hoyer lifts and patient transfer techniques to ensure safety during movement. Monitor patients' vital signs and observe health status to detect changes or concerns promptly. Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with feeding when necessary. Provide companionship and engage clients in social activities to enhance mental stimulation and emotional well-being. Maintain a clean, safe environment through regular cleaning duties and organization of living spaces. Requirements Prior experience working in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health environments is highly preferred. Demonstrated ability to observe patient conditions carefully and communicate effectively with healthcare teams. Knowledge of patient care practices including ADLs (Activities of Daily Living), medication administration, and manual handling techniques such as the Hoyer lift. Certification in CPR and First Aid is required; additional certifications like HIPAA training or hospice care experience are advantageous. Experience working with individuals with autism, dementia, Alzheimer's disease, developmental disabilities, or neurodevelopmental disorders is desirable. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and assist with patient transfers using appropriate methods. Strong communication skills for client interaction and collaboration with family members or healthcare professionals.
