Job Overview We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Caregiver (CBRF) to provide exceptional support and assistance to residents in a community-based residential facility. This vital role involves delivering personalized care that promotes independence, dignity, and well-being for individuals with diverse needs, including seniors, those with disabilities, and residents requiring memory or dementia care. As a Caregiver, you will be the cornerstone of daily life for residents, ensuring their safety, comfort, and happiness through attentive caregiving and compassionate interaction. Responsibilities Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), such as bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility support using appropriate techniques and equipment like Hoyer lifts. Administer medications accurately following prescribed schedules and document all medication administration in electronic medical record (EMR) systems. Monitor vital signs regularly and report any health changes or concerns to nursing staff or supervisors promptly. Provide specialized care for residents with dementia or Alzheimer's disease, employing memory care techniques and behavior management strategies to ensure safety and comfort. Support residents' social engagement by facilitating activities, meals, and recreational outings that promote mental stimulation and emotional well-being. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment by assisting with light cleaning duties and adhering to infection control protocols. Document resident interactions, health status updates, and incident reports accurately while respecting confidentiality standards. Collaborate with team members in assisted living or long-term care settings to deliver comprehensive care tailored to each resident's needs. Support residents' participation in community activities or outings by providing transportation when necessary. Qualifications Prior experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home & community care environments is highly preferred. Knowledge of ADLs assistance techniques, medication administration, vital signs monitoring, and dementia or Alzheimer's care is essential. Certification in first aid is required; additional certifications such as CPR are a plus. Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or behavioral challenges is advantageous. Strong communication skills combined with patience, empathy, and a positive attitude are vital for success in this role. Ability to operate EMR systems efficiently for documentation purposes.
