Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Caregiver to provide exceptional support and assistance to individuals at our 2 bed facility. As a Caregiver, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for those you serve by delivering personalized care, ensuring safety, and fostering a warm, supportive environment. This position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in people's lives through attentive caregiving, patient observation, and compassionate support. Duties Assist residents or clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility support Monitor patients' vital signs and observe their overall health status to identify any changes or concerns Administer medication and follow care plans in accordance with HIPAA regulations and healthcare protocols Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with feeding when necessary Operate medical equipment such as Hoyer lifts, wheelchairs, and other assistive devices safely and effectively Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping duties including cleaning patient areas, laundry, and sanitation tasks Document patient progress, care activities, and observations accurately in compliance with healthcare standards Support residents with specialized needs such as dementia, Alzheimer's disease, autism spectrum disorder, or developmental disabilities through tailored activities and attentive care Collaborate with healthcare professionals, social workers, families, and team members to develop and implement personalized care plans Ensure compliance with all safety protocols including CPR and First Aid procedures; respond promptly to emergencies or incidents Skills Proven experience in home health care, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or group homes with a focus on senior or long-term care Strong knowledge of patient observation techniques and vital signs monitoring Familiarity with medication administration and care plan adherence Ability to perform heavy lifting safely using equipment like Hoyer lifts when required Excellent communication skills for working effectively with patients with disabilities or cognitive impairments such as dementia or autism spectrum disorder Experience working with people who have developmental disabilities or require hospice or memory care services Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality at all times Demonstrated ability to work independently while maintaining teamwork within a caregiving environment Capable of managing multiple responsibilities including meal preparation, light cleaning, and assisting with ADLs efficiently Certifications such as CPR and First Aid are highly desirable; ongoing training in dementia or Alzheimer's care is a plus Join us if you're passionate about providing heartfelt care that truly makes a difference!
