Job Description
Join a dedicated care team as a Helping Hands Caregiver, where your passion for empowering others will make a meaningful impact every day. In this essential role, you will provide personalized support to a female client in her private residence. Your compassionate approach will not only deliver personal care but also contribute to creating a safe, engaging environment that encourages growth and offers opportunities for social connection. This paid position presents an excellent opportunity to develop your caregiving and direct support skills while positively influencing a client's quality of life.
Responsibilities:
- Assisting with personal hygiene, including bed baths, skin care, and dressing
- Managing incontinence care, including use of a bed pan
- Performing light housekeeping tasks such as laundry, dusting, vacuuming, sweeping, and linen changes as needed
- Safely transferring the individual using a Hoyer lift
- Preparing meals and snacks
- Running occasional errands
- Organizing household spaces
- Building rapport and providing companionship
Qualifications:
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities is highly preferred
- Previous experience using a Hoyer lift is advantageous
- Strong communication skills
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Background in home and community care or social work is a plus
- Reliable and trustworthy nature
- Must be at least 18 years old due to job requirements
Compensation:
$17.32- $18.
Schedule:
7:00 AM- 9:00 AM and 6:00 PM
- 9:00 PM, with flexibility to accommodate your schedule This position requires in-person presence at the work location.
