Job Description
Wonderful member of the Wausau Community is looking to hire a Support Aide to help him in his private home with personal cares, transportation and home care tasks. This is for someone who is looking for a long
- term caregiver role who truly wants to make a genuine difference.
What You Will Be Doing:
- Assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming and toileting
- Transportation within the community for activities
- Administer prescribed medications and monitor for changes in condition
- Prepare nutritious meals based on dietary requirements and support during mealtimes and snacks
- Support me in learning new skills to gain confidence and promote independence
- Facilitate community engagement activities based on personal interests and abilities
- Maintain a clean and safe home environment through regular cleaning and household tasks
- Offer emotional support, companionship and encouragement to promote well-being and build trust What makes you a great fit:
- Experience working with adults with disabilities, including non-verbal individuals and those with behavioral challenges, is a plus
- Compassionate, patient, and energetic demeanor
- Strong communication skills with the ability to be flexible
- Dependability and reliability are essential in this role
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required
- Background check required prior to employment
- Must be at least 18 years old to apply
Schedule/Hours:
- Monday-Thursday, 2:00 pm
- 9:45 am
- Friday at 2:00pm through Monday at 9:45am
- Additional daytime hours may be available-information available upon interview (2:00pm-7:00pm)
- Flexible scheduling options—choose shifts that fit your lifestyle
- Both day and overnight shifts available
Wage:
- $16.50 per hour for day shifts plus mileage reimbursement of $0.35 per mile
- Overnight shifts include a stipend of $50.
