Job Description

Overview for: (Direct Care, Caregiver, Caretaker, Direct Care Staff, Direct Care Professional, Support Staff, etc.) Join our compassionate team as a Direct Care Staff member, where your dedication and caring nature will make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals requiring support and assistance. Duties for:
(Direct Care, Caregiver, Caretaker, Direct Care Staff, Direct Care Professional, Support Staff, etc.) Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using equipment.. Monitor residents' health by taking vital signs, observing changes in condition, and reporting findings accurately to healthcare professionals. Administer medications (AMAP only) following prescribed care plans and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect patient privacy. Prepare nutritious meals aligned with dietary needs and assist residents during meal times to promote proper nutrition and social interaction. Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing routine cleaning tasks, sanitizing common areas, and adhering to infection control protocols. Document care activities thoroughly in resident records, update care plans regularly, and participate in team meetings to coordinate personalized support strategies. Provide transportation to and from appointments, community activities, stores, etc.
Qualifications for:
(Direct Care, Caregiver, Caretaker, Direct Care Staff, Direct Care Professional, Support Staff, etc.) GED/Diploma preferred Driver's License and automobile required for all day and evening shifts. Prior experience working in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health environments is highly preferred. Knowledge of patient observation techniques, medication administration, vital signs monitoring, and HIPAA compliance. Certification in CPR and First Aid is required and will be offered in orientation training. Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting and transferring individuals. Strong communication skills to effectively interact with residents, families, and healthcare team members. Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, or other special needs is beneficial.
