Purpose of Position:
The Awake at Night Worker provides overnight supervision and transportation services to clients in the Transition to Adult Living (TAL) Program and Secure Dwellings. This position ensures client safety, supports compliance with program expectations, and promotes the development of independent living skills during overnight hours.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Night Job Tasks List:
Provide transportation to TAL clients as needed. Provide emergency and work-related night-time transportation for Secure Dwellings residents. Provide supervision to young adult women. Report any maintenance issues related to the building or vehicles to staff. Report behavioral concerns or client non-compliance with program rules to staff. Serve as a positive role model by demonstrating healthy behaviors. Conduct housekeeping inspections, document results, and assist as needed. Provide housekeeping instructions to clients on their follow-up inspection report and assist as needed. Report any crises to staff. Conduct basic living skills groups. Provide emergency and work-related transportation to Secure Dwellings clients as needed. Assist clients who are locked out by issuing replacement or temporary keys per agency procedures. Proficient with Microsoft Word.

Mandated Reporter, Defensive Driver, Cyber Security, & CAS Qualifications, Education & Experience:
The Presbyterian Home for Children seeks an Awake at Night worker with six months or more of related experience working with young adults and children for our Transition to Adult Living and Secure Dwellings Program. The candidate must also be able to think critically, be skilled in oral and written communication, establish rapport with clients, make decisions, and set boundaries. This Awake at Night position is part-time, and workdays could vary. A High School Diploma is required. Must have a valid Alabama driver's license. Position requires a criminal background check, fingerprint background check, a Child Abuse and neglect form conducted by DHR, must be able to pass a 12 panel drug screen and physical that will both be paid for by PHFC. Eligible to be covered by the Presbyterian Home for Children's auto insurance.
