Full Job Description Position Summary:
The Case Manager will process legal injury paperwork, medical invoices and reports associated with the injury paperwork. Gather and send specific documents at the request of our attorney or representatives while meeting a reasonable deadline. Receiving and answering emails, phone calls and assisting with updates when requested by direct supervisor or manager. Additional tasks may be given by direct supervisor or manager.
Roles and responsibilities:
1. Communicate over telephone and e-mail to various parties, internally and externally of the company. 2. Understanding the different programs and relationships involved with Prime Administrators. 3. Gathering various documents from administrators, clients, clinics, and other parties to process the injured parties claim. 4. Document notes and updates that are obtained by telephone or email. 5. Filing, scanning and printing electronic data in the proper folders. 6. Provide information to direct supervisor when requested. 7. Draft documents and letters with correct claim information. 8. Assist with accounting and billing documents. 9. Comprehensive knowledge of legal terminology and document usage 10. Knowledge of Med Legal process 11. Provide customers with claim updates when received/requested. 12. Manage and correspond to subpoenas/ IMR's 13. Verbal and written request to direct supervisor is required for any issues regarding lack of training and development for position. 14. Communication with direct supervisor of any other job-related functions that may interfere with the ability to perform any of the above tasks in an efficient, professional, and productive manner. 15. Overtime may be necessary. 16. Assist with special projects as needed. 17. Complete employee task list to ensure duties are completed with department manager. 18. Research EAMS for accurate legal information. 19. Must adhere to HIPPA guidelines and maintain current valid HIPPA training certificate. 20. Adheres to the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and ensures that subordinate does the same.
Preferred Skills:
The Case Manager must possess a combination of intermediate computer skills be proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word, have excellent customer skills, always maintain a professional demeanor during the scheduled workday; must be able to multitask. Must have skills to work independently as well as on teams. In addition, excellent communication skills-both verbal and written. Possess understanding and dedication to the philosophies of the company.
