Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The Adult Skills Center (TASC) provides innovative and proactive services that empower individuals with diverse intellectual, developmental, and mental health needs to achieve their highest level of Independence and realize their greatest potential. The BCBA will specialize in those cases requiring clinical behavior interventions and/or skill acquisition programming. Acts as a liaison between TASC, client, the IPP team, and job sites following best practices and point of contact standards. Provides support to the client, staff, and job site as needed. Creates contacts with potential employers in the community based on the needs of clients assigned. Spearheads the Discovery process, case management, file creation, identifying client needs and skills, Acts a resource guide for clients and staff, tracks documentation of services and all interactions. Participates in case review meetings with counselors/referring agencies for updates and communicating challenges and outcomes to the team. Produces and submits documents pertaining to client referrals and progress.
Primary Duties:
1. Behavior AnalysisConducting skills assessments and functional behavior assessmentDesigning and modifying individualized treatment plans Leading weekly to monthly team meetings/trainingsDeveloping goals and conducting staff trainingReviewing and Analyzing daily notes and data Preparing progress reports for team meetings and funding agenciesPreparing and submitting SIRs and appropriate documentation to funding agencies, APS and licensing within the specified time period Attending planning meetingsTraining, supervising, and evaluating behavior therapistTraining and collaboration with staff and other service providers. Team work with professionals from other disciplines is essential2. Case ManagementMaintain a caseload of program participants and support those clients as they seek to gain and maintain employment.

Works directly with Department of Rehabilitation, Regional Center, Social Security and other agencies to place clients in supported employment programs and manage their cases.

Conducts initial screenings to determine eligibility, schedules appointments, and provides assistance to clients to complete benefits enrollmentDetermines appropriateness of referral and client eligibility to benefit from community/mainstream resourcesIdentifies and utilizes community resources to meet client needsCoordinates with case management to document services and establish organized program file structure, client database, and assessment process for income and benefits servicesProvides monthly service reports of statistics and outcomesMaintains cooperative and collaborative working relationships with staff of community agencies to obtain resources for clientsParticipates and attends on/off site staff and community meetingsRelies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goalsWorks under general supervision or independentlyProcess DOR and Regional Center referrals, documents, and reports.

Participate in overseeing and training job coaches for specific client needs and employment settings.

Meet with participants, both one-on-one and in group settings, to assess strengths and barriers to employment, identify job leads, produce and refine resumes/cover letters and sharpen interview skills, among other tasks.

Act as a resource for all program participants and refer them to the appropriate service provider when the program does not fill their needsPerform client assessments and record those assessments.3. Program Management Participate in the hiring, training and on-going supervision of all program staff.

Provide supervision and mentorship to program staff including delegating duties and responsibilities according to their job descriptions, meeting together with supervisors on a regular basis, keeping written documentation of all meetings, directives, trainings, disciplinary actions, and agreements; conducting annual job performance evaluations.

Prepare for and participate in audits by regulatory and funding agencies.

Provide oversight to assigned program office space and equipment.

Ensure quality of services including relationships with clients, families, funding agencies, regulatory agencies, and the community.

Collaborate with all TASC departments and foster team engagement.

Participate in and lead program evolution and growth in areas of need.4. TASC LeadershipRepresent TASC within the communityParticipate on community boards and/or committees in order to enhance community knowledge of TASC as well as provide TASC with relationships with additional community resourcesSpeak to community groups when requested by the Executive DirectorParticipate in TASC strategic plan implementationParticipate in committees and contribute ideasServes as a positive role model for peers and staffFoster a positive work environment through constructive feedback and problem-solving Encourage learning, personal growth, and a positive attitude5. Other DutiesPerform other duties as assignedPerform other off-site duties as assignedParticipate in weekly meetings, trainings, etc., as assigned by the supervisor
Qualifications:
1. Master's degree in psychology, behavior analysis, special education, or a related field2. Active BCBA or BCBA-D certification in good standing3. At least 3 years of experience providing ABA-based treatment to adults with developmental disabilities 4. Experience conducting skills assessments and functional behavior assessments5. Ability to work independently and meet deadlines with strong organizational skills6. Ability to work well as part of a team with other disciplines7. Maintain all certifications up-to-date8. Must be able to successfully complete First Aid/CPR and other trainings as required9. Must have current California drivers license/insurance and clean DMV10. Must receive criminal record clearance through the
DOJPhysical Requirements:
1. Ability to drive company and/or personal vehicle for work, including transporting clients to and from work and/or appointments as needed, maintain valid driver's license and car insurance, if required to drive for the position.2. Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards. 3. Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local standards.4. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk, and sit. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. The employee must provide physical assistance and/or push clients up to 250lbs in a wheelchair. Must be able to assist adult clients transitioning in and out of vehicle and in the restroom. Completion of Professional Crisis Management Certification within 90 days of hire (provided by TASC) is required for this position and is not recommended for: 1) Individuals who have mobility and/or range of motion problems 2) Individuals with recent fractures or surgeries 3) Individuals who have suffered any kind of joint injury requiring medical attention in the past 6 months 4) Individuals with poor balance, flexibility or agility The above is intended to describe the general content of and requirements for the performance of this job.
