Position:
Student Case Manager Job Purpose:
The Student Case Manager role will act in furtherance of End Homelessness California's Student Housing Program; Hope Housing for Students, with the goal of providing case management support for the students.
Job Locations:
Duties and responsibilities are to be carried out by working on-site with program participants at the various homes in Rosemead (Home Office), Cypress, Long Beach, Pasadena, and Monterey Park and any new homes or facilities that become part of Hope Housing in the future and participate in meetings with the End Homelessness California staff to further the mission of Hope Housing for Students, The Shower of Hope and Safe Parking Programs.
Exempt Status:
The Student Case Manager position is non-exempt.
Work Experience Requirements:
Experience in administration, human resources, social services, is preferred.
Job Responsibilities:
The primary responsibilities of the position current include: 1. Coordinate day-to-day operations of Hope Housing for Students program, overseeing participants, creation of service plans, and delivery of services to Program Participants on a daily and weekly basis. Coordinates Student Activity Calendar for the students on a monthly basis. 2. Conduct and coordinate weekly house group sessions with the Mental Health Director and partners to bring services that will help students succeed. (E.g. Financial Workshops, Mental Wellness Workshops, Counseling, Tutoring etc.) 3. Conducts bi-weekly or weekly (depending on participant needs) check-ins with Program Participants to check academic progress, personal updates, and helping set up a plan for

Coordinate outreach and collaboration efforts with community partners to bring resources that will allow students to have suitable opportunities. (E.g. Volunteer opportunities, internship opportunities, and job opportunities). 5. Prepare weekly and monthly reports as needed to share with Management and Program Partners related to Hope Housing for Students participant metrics. As well as activities and performance connected to the goals established for the Housing Program Coordinator position. 6. Support and work in all administrative activities related to Hope Housing for Students program and End Homelessness California Management and Support Team. 7. Ensure that students are meeting program requirements and are completing volunteer hours, work hours, and paying monthly rent (if required of them, rent varies by student). 8. On-going recruitment of students interested in Hope housing for Students, outreach, and coordination of Zoom interviews and in-person interviews. 9. Help Management and Support team on a need-be basis in regards to case management and program administration for programs outside of Hope Housing for Students - including but not limited to The Shower of Hope and Destination Hope Safe Parking. It is End Homelessness California's mission to provide access to our programs in a manner that is humane, fair and caring. All student participants must be treated with dignity and respect and the services provided to them competently and fairly. All student participants must be provided the same quality services and not provided special treatment. The employee must maintain strict boundaries with student participants - even when they attempt to test those boundaries. Student participants cannot be provided with special favors or preferential treatment.
Boundaries include the following:
- providing consistency, predictability and security for meetings and individual sessions, such as offering the same time and same place on a regular basis, unless otherwise agreed with you
- ensuring that sessions are in an environment which is calm, with no distractions, and the focus is on you as the client

- providing sessions only at a time and in a place where confidentiality can be ensured
- ensuring that as far as possible contact between therapist and client is limited to pre-arranged appointments
- avoiding overlapping or multiple types of relationships with clients, eg student/teacher or supervisee/supervisor relationships should not co-exist with the client/therapist relationship
- maintaining neutrality rather than judging or imposing values
- avoiding giving, receiving or exchanging gifts
- managing the end of therapy in an appropriate way and ensuring formal boundaries are maintained once the therapy relationship has been concluded and/or during a break in therapy sessions.
- Avoiding non-emergency meetings outside of the office or after office hours
- Avoiding any inappropriate (emotional/physical) relationships.
Report any emergencies or unsafe conditions to management immediately.
Pay:
$23.00 - $26.00 per hour
