EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
This position serves as a risk assessment specialist for the Division of Adult Parole and is responsible for conducting risk and needs assessments for individuals released to parole supervision.

The primary function of this position is to ensure the timely and accurate completion of assessments. The position analyzes criminogenic risk and needs factors and evidence-based case planning recommendations to the assigned parole officer.•Please note: If selected for this position, there will be a mandatory training which must be passed with fidelity within the first two attempts in order to maintain qualifications for the position.•Primary job duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Conduct initial assessments and analyze results of individuals released on parole to identify criminogenic risks and needs.

Review criminal history, institutional records, and supervision information to inform assessments.

Conduct structured interviews with parole clients to gather assessment information.

Apply validated assessment scoring protocols and interpret results.

Document findings and assessment outcomes.

Provide structured case planning recommendations to assigned parole officers.

Recommend appropriate interventions aligned with risk and need levels.

Serve as a resource to supervision staff regarding assessment interpretation.

Input assessments and related information into the designated electronic database, maintaining accurate case notes / documentation.

Ensure compliance with CDOC documentation standards.

Other duties as assigned.
