Job Description

Pueblo County Sheriff's Office David J. Lucero Position Title Case Manger (Jail Based Behavioral Services) Job Type Full-Time Non-Exempt Grant-Funded Compensation $4,372.00 - $4,924.00 Monthly (Although the entire range is posted, the position starts at $4,372.00 per month.) Job Summary Identifies participants, schedules and teaches Moral Recognition Therapy Program (life-skill activities designed to prepare detainees for re-entry into community), initiates inmate referrals to facilities, prepares and manages statistical data, initiates and maintains collaboration with community partners. Qualifications Must be 21 years of age and have a high school diploma or GED. A minimum of one (1) year of social work or case management experience is required. A valid driver's license at the time of application and a valid Colorado driver's license at time of hire is required. A bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university in one of the recognized mental health professions is preferred. Correctional mental health experience is preferred. Certified Addiction Counselor (CAC) Level I, II or III is preferred. Additional Information The selection process includes, but is not limited to, an interview. Prior to employment, candidates will complete a background investigation, polygraph examination, and physical examination to include a drug screen. The expected duration of the selection process normally will not exceed two months. Candidates not selected may reapply in the future.
