Driver's License Full Job Description Description:
Under the direct supervision of the Housing and Recovery Support Coordinator, Residential Case Manager will provide case management and crisis intervention services for the Areyto Apartments Supportive Housing services, sponsored by the Chemical Abuse Services Agency, Incorporated. The purpose of this program is to offer services that will prevent formally homeless and disabled individuals from becoming homeless again, to work with tenants to improve their quality of life, and to help create a positive residential community living environment. This will be a highly collaborative model of support services focusing on linking tenants to community mental health, substance use, medical resources, and developing on-site vocational programming. Thus, maintaining community relationships and working collaboratively is an integral element of this position.
Requirements:
Associate's degree in the field of Social Work/Human Services preferred. Minimum of two years of professional experience working directly with clients with multiple diagnoses. The experience working with homeless populations, special needs populations with histories of mental illness, substance abuse, and/or individuals living with
HIV / AIDS.
Familiarity with the physiological, psychological, social, and economic effects of homelessness and disabilities. Knowledge of community resources and levels of service programs available to the disabled and homeless population. Demonstrates the ability to effectively engage clients and coordinate meaningful events that foster participation, connection, and a supportive environment. Must demonstrate appreciation and willingness to develop continuing skills towards multicultural competency within a behavioral health setting. Bilingual (English Spanish) speaking ability preferred. Must have a valid driver's license and motor vehicle.
