REQUIREMENTS
High school diploma or GED One year of related experience Valid Florida driver's license, insurance and access to transportation Current CPR Level II fingerprint background, drug screen and TB screening Travel to clients' homes and other sites.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Build rapport with clients Compassionate and caring demeanor Demonstrate warmth and empathy when working with clients Remain calm and composed when assisting stressed or upset clients Work effectively and patiently with clients Communication skills, both oral and written Utilize general office equipment and other necessary equipment, including Microsoft Word and Excel programs Safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards SUMMARY The Homemaker is a paraprofessional member of the In-Home Services team who works under the supervision of the RN Clinical Supervisor & Administrator. The Homemaker is responsible for performing various household services as necessary to meet the client's needs.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Maintain the home in an optimum state of cleanliness and safety depending on the client's and the caregiver's resources. Perform general homemaking functions including general cleaning preparation of meals, laundry, shopping. Report to the appropriate Case Manager any incidents or problems related to his/her work or to the caregiver. Report to the appropriate Case Manager any incidents or changes in the client's behavior. Maintain all required paperwork, including service sheets, with clarity; and accuracy and submit them on a timely basis. Attend all required meetings, seminars and workshops that may enhance job performance. Perform other duties as assigned.
