(BCI) is seeking a dedicated Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) Coordinator to guide clients through every step of their MAT care — from initial screening through ongoing recovery support. The Behavioral Wellness Clinic (BWC) helps individuals link to needed psychiatric services, including the MAT program. The MAT Coordinator serves as the primary Point of Contact (POC) for clients interested in MAT, assesses eligible clients to determine service needs, refers clients for needed services, coordinates appointments, and provides ongoing monitoring and follow-up. The MAT Coordinator also oversees Coordination of Care (CoC) for the entire case, ensures accurate entry and discharge of clients and services in the Florida Alcohol & Drug Abuse Association (FADAA) database, and educates persons served and their support systems regarding diagnosis, treatment, and recovery. This position also works with clients involved in the judicial system, coordinating care alongside court requirements. Part 2, and BCI policy. Ability to display sensitivity to all persons and cultures, including diverse backgrounds, ages, and levels of ability. Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with clients, families, and professionals. Working knowledge of substance use disorders, including alcohol and opioid use, and Medication-Assisted Treatment protocols and best practices. Ability to screen and assess client needs and develop, monitor, and facilitate interdisciplinary treatment approaches. Ability to make sound decisions in emergency or high-pressure situations. Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage a caseload, prioritize work assignments, and meet documentation and reporting deadlines with minimal supervision. Demonstrates or can develop competency with the Florida Alcohol & Drug Abuse Association (FADAA) database and GPRA outcomes reporting. Ability to understand and apply relevant laws, rules, regulations, policies, and procedures governing substance use treatment. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a healthcare team, coordinating with prescribers, therapists, Health Clinic medical staff, and Case Management. Ability to work effectively with clients involved in the judicial system and coordinate care in alignment with court requirements.

Capable of performing professional record-keeping and correspondence related to client care, invoicing, and audits. Reliability, punctuality, and a strong sense of accountability.

Duties / Responsibilities

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Serve as the primary Point of Contact (POC) for clients interested in the MAT program. Screen and assess eligible clients to determine their MAT and related service needs. Manage an assigned caseload of clients with substance use disorders for alcohol and/or opioid use diagnoses. Refer clients for needed services and coordinate appointments with Prescribers, Therapists, and Health Clinic medical staff. Provide Coordination of Care (CoC), maintaining oversight of the client's case from intake through discharge. Monitor client progress and conduct regular follow-up throughout treatment. Link clients to traditional Case Management to help meet other service needs. Provide MAT education to clients and their support systems regarding diagnosis, treatment, and recovery. Enter and discharge clients and services in the Florida Alcohol & Drug Abuse Association (FADAA) database as needed. Complete all GPRA's/outcomes in the appropriate database. Complete invoices for the Florida Alcohol & Drug Abuse Association (FADAA). Order and track MAT medications, ensuring accurate inventory and compliance. Complete required program audits. Promote the MAT program through community outreach and engagement with external stakeholders. Coordinate care for clients involved in the judicial system, working alongside court requirements as needed. Attend staff meetings and interdisciplinary treatment team meetings. Maintain accurate, thorough, and timely documentation and correspondence related to client care. Maintain strict client confidentiality in all interactions and handling of records. Communicate with clinical, prescribing, and Case Management staff regarding client status, scheduling, and coordination needs. Handle client concerns or difficult situations with patience, tact, and professionalism, escalating to a supervisor when appropriate. Perform other duties as assigned to support program operations.
