Job Description

Our client is seeking Remote Disaster Case Managers to conduct outreach and detailed needs assessments for households impacted by disasters. The primary population served includes elderly individuals and bilingual Spanish/English-speaking applicants. This position supports emergency disaster operations and requires flexibility.
Previous work experience entails:
emergency response, disaster relief, shelter operations. We are looking for reliable, compassionate and service-oriented individuals, who are team focused.
What we are looking for:
Disaster Case Managers Essential Duties:
Completes various aspects of case management, including in-depth screenings, initial assessment of damages and monitors case for continued needs and services. In conjunction with the client, develops a recovery plan to address disaster un-met needs and transition into safe, sanity and secure housing. Establishes a relationship with the client and gathers progress of the recovery plan weekly. Finds and shares up-to-date resources to ensure clients can advocate for themselves and progress in their recovery. Enters client data into secure database and maintains all case related activities such as notes, and communication attempts always current and up to date. Maintains professional relationships with organizations, families and service providers. Attends training as required.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions as stated in Standard Operating Procedures. Knowledge and experience in dealing with multicultural, interfaith coalition groups. Proficient in Microsoft Suite to Include Outlook, Adobe and Excel and overall computer technology. Ability to solve problems independently, effectively, and creatively. Remote Contract opportunity Min of 2 years' experience with case management, or disaster recovery related work.
