Job Description

Help Families Navigate One of Life's Most Difficult Seasons Huizenga Law is seeking a Medicaid Case Coordinator to help families obtain long-term care Medicaid benefits for loved ones entering nursing homes and memory care facilities. We are looking for someone who loves helping people, organizing complex information, solving practical problems, and moving projects across the finish line. Many of our clients come to us during a crisis. A spouse has entered a nursing home. An aging parent can no longer live independently. Families are overwhelmed by paperwork, deadlines, financial records, and government requirements. You will gather information, organize documentation, coordinate with clients and agencies, track application progress, respond to requests for additional information, and help ensure Medicaid applications are completed accurately and on time. Enjoys helping people during stressful situations. Can manage multiple cases without letting things fall through the cracks. Is comfortable learning complicated systems and processes. Takes ownership of outcomes rather than waiting to be told what to do. What You'll Do Prepare and submit Medicaid applications. Gather and organize financial and eligibility documentation. Track case progress and application status. Communicate with Medicaid agencies regarding pending cases. Respond to requests for additional information. Coordinate with families to obtain records and documentation. Maintain organized case files and records. Assist with documentation related to trusts, real estate, and Medicaid planning strategies. Help clients navigate a complicated process with confidence and clarity. Helpful Backgrounds You do not need Medicaid or legal experience. Candidates often come from backgrounds such as: Social work Nursing homes or long-term care facilities Healthcare administration Case management Benefits administration Financial services Insurance Customer success or client services If you have experience helping families navigate government benefits, healthcare systems, elder care, or complex paperwork, we'd love to hear from you.
