Job Description
Job Summary:
Enhanced Supportive Service (ESS) providers oversee varying degrees of community supervision of juveniles who are under the jurisdiction of Juvenile Court Services.Employment Classifications:
Part Time Pay and Benefits:
$27/hour IPERS Eligible (after six month probationary period) Mileage reimbursement for juvenile transportation ($.50/mile) Mileage paid from official domicile (courthouse), Employee's may have more than one official domicile as recognized by CIJDC.Minimum Employee Requirements:
18 years of age Computer and Internet Access Clear Child Abuse Record Check Less than 3 moving violations in the past three years (severe count as two, i.e. OWI, Excessive Speeding) Acceptable Criminal History Check Proof of Auto Insurance and Reliable Vehicle Cell Phone Qualifications:
High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent Experience working with diverse groups of people Effective written and oral communication skills Excellent organizational skills in Project Mgmt. Ability to manage multiple tasks within deadlines Ability to function as a team member within the organization and with collaborating agencies Ability to analyze and provide a defined amount of hourly service for individuals on a weekly basis Must be a highly motivated individual who can function independent of supervision Ability to learn the complex issues affecting community organizations Working knowledge of Microsoft programs Ability to positively affect public relations Ability to deal effectively with change Experience in a related fieldDuties and Responsibilities:
Provide secure and non-secure client transportation. Supervise Community Service Work Crews Attend staff meetings and court hearings as directed. Assist clients in obtaining & retaining employment. Night and weekend work hours required. Clear, Concise, Accurate and timely paperwork. Submit weekly paperwork toCIJDC & JCS
timely. Curfew checks, Face to Face Contact and Urinalysis. Assist JCO worker in gaining case information as directed. Electronic Monitoring of Juveniles Assist the client and family in skill development. Work cooperatively and closely with other staff. Office space is NOT allotted for this position Facilitate group sessions on various topics. Ability to deal with change Other duties as assignedJob Type:
