  • Friday Full time (40hrs / week) Position Description Work under the direction of the Social Services Director to provide income support, social service resources, application assistance, and translation/interpretation to low-income immigrant families in downstate Illinois in compliance with federal, state, and agency programmatic guidelines.
Duties Provide resource information and referrals by telephone, videoconference, and in person Provide crisis intervention services Translate and interpret Advocating for clients to receive services; fight for social justice Assist with scheduling and advertising outreach events and workshops Communicate with clients in various languages to assess needs & program eligibility Complete applications for Public Benefits and other resources Provide clients with accurate information and assist with scheduling asylum, TPS, and other workshops Attend training and weekly meetings Position Requirements
  • Bilingual in Spanish and English
