Full-Time (32 Hours sometimes more)
Pay:
Salary Purpose:
Provides case management, advocacy, and prevention services to victims of domestic violence and the community through the curriculum provided.

Client Advocacy Responsibilities:
1. Cooperates with the Executive Director to integrate and implement agency vision within service provision. 2. Delivers services according to established procedures and complies with all agency policies. 3. Maintains clear and concise documentation of all client files. 4. Provides client statistical data and assists in the preparation of reports. 5. Serves as a resource for education and information of victim groups. 6. Assists in the filing of protective orders. 7. Educates clients on victim rights, domestic violence and healthy relationships. 8. Establishes an individualized service plan for all clients. 9. Accompanies clients to court, social service offices, and more to advocate and as a form of support. 10. Available for victim crisis calls and once a week during an on call day besides normal worked days. 11. Provides (reimbursed) transportation as needed to and from group counseling. 12. Provides information for services needed by client, as they work towards self-sufficiency, such as health care assistance, social or mental health, family or individual counseling, job training and employment ect. 13. Participates in agency training, staff development, fundraising, and awareness activities. 14. Help develop and facilitate new programs to be implemented. 15. Helps oversee Shelter including the following: Maintain appropriate, professional care of clients while in the Shelter; Oversee housekeeping needs for Shelter; Provide and discuss Shelter rules and guidelines at intake; Provide emergency transportation as needed; Maintain confidentiality of clients except for cases of mandated reporting. a written release from client or for client treatment planning with EHCIC staff; Maintain feelings of safety and security with clients while in the Shelter; Develop individual daily goals, deliver domestic violence information and victim rights, safety planning and monitor resident progress; Communicate client concerns with EHCIC staff; On call for resident care outside of office hours at the Shelter, or will schedule other EHCIC staff or volunteers. 16. Co-Facilitates information in victim groups with licensed therapist.
Job Requirements:
Must demonstrate competency in the following areas: 1. Oral and written communication, including computer literacy 2. Interpersonal relationships 3. Companionate and Understanding 4. Trauma Informed 5. Dynamics of domestic violence 6. Knowledge of area resources 7. General knowledge of grant awards Minimum qualifications: 1. Bachelor's Degree in Human Services field or equivalent experience 2. Experience in crisis intervention. 3. Possess a valid operator's license and motor vehicle record with no major violations and not more than one moving violation within the past three years. 4. Possess mature judgment, initiative, willingness to assume responsibility, self discipline and the ability to maintain confidentiality. 5. Demonstrate non-violent philosophy in personal relationships and has not been charged with domestic violence before. 6. No current drug or alcohol abuse 7. No unresolved personal legal issue that would interfere with job performance
