Job Description
DCCCA's Family Preservation Services program is recruiting for Case Managers to serve families in the KC Metro and surrounding areas. Case Managers serve an integral role in keeping Kansas families together. Successful candidates have a strong sense of ethics and place a high value on keeping families intact. We are looking for individuals that are intrinsically motivated, driven to support children and families, and quickly gain trust and rapport. Child Welfare Case Manager:
Provides for the safety, stability and well-being of children and families. Delivers culturally competent, strengths-based case management services to children and families consistent with the evidence-based practice models Decisions are made on guidelines provided by the supervisor, family preservation standard procedures and policies, evidence-based practice model and DCCCA organizational policies Meets DCF timelines to connect with the family within 24 hours of referral; facilitate initial family meeting within 48 hours of referral; complete assessment-based case plan within 20 days of referral; and case closure within 3- 6 months of referral. Works closely with their dyad partner to provide services for the family and make decisions about child well-being Engages and works in partnership with families to complete assessments and develop case plan goals and objectives Meets with families in home weekly, monitoring the family's progress towards their case plan goals; and meets monthly with each child individually to assess child's safety Completes and submits timely court reports, appearing and testifying in court as required Responds promptly to family crisis situations Qualifications of theChild Welfare Case Manager:
Bachelor's Degree in Human Services-related field, required. Two years of experience working or volunteering with children, required. Communicates clearly, professionally, and persuasively in both positive and negative environments. Ability to work successfully in emotionally and mentally stressful situations. Class C driver's license with clear driving record, reliable personal transportation, and current automobile insurance, required. Approval by DCCCA's auto insurance provider to drive company and personal vehicles on DCCCA business, required.
