A bachelor's degree in a human services field is required, and at least one year of experience working with IDD clients is required.

Professional Development Qualifications:
A bachelor's degree in an acceptable human services or behavioral health field of study from an accredited school is required. At least one year of experience working in community-based intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) services. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. A valid driver's license and the ability to operate a motor vehicle.
Job Duties:
Collaborate with IDD Crisis Services Team Leader to monitor crisis support services, including crisis responders. Utilize person-centered planning techniques to facilitate prevention and stabilization of crisis situations for clients with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Involve the family, guardian, and providers in planning by reviewing and coordinating the plan of care with them when appropriate and with the client's consent. Identify and implement appropriate long-term supports and services, including residential placement for IDD individuals as needed. Collaborate with IDD Crisis Services Team Leader to develop a mobile crisis response system for IDD individuals. Assist in identifying, training, and monitoring responders to ensure appropriate emergency response and crisis stabilization. Develop ongoing crisis resources within the local community to meet the immediate and ongoing needs of individuals. Complete all necessary documentation and reports. Collaborate with IDD Crisis Team to provide relevant staff training relating to crisis prevention and response, person-centered planning, and positive behavioral supports within the inter-agency training coalition. Provide outreach to community partners to educate and to enhance crisis prevention and response services within the region. Ensure availability for crisis intervention/emergency referrals, as well as scheduled on-call hours. Maintain HIPAA compliance and appropriate client confidentiality.
