The Case Manager will be responsible for providing support to the field Consultant(s) and assisting with data entry of case work. This person is eager to learn a new industry and its intricacies along with being flexible and adept at handling competing priorities. Key responsibilities Open standard case files within one day of receipt and close files within one week of notification. Confirm and/or obtain current information on open/offer files using standard intake form. Prepare settlement proposals. Maintain database in Resolver (case management system). Maintain life insurance company files, in addition to office files. Maintain diaries and update files in Resolver (completed within one day of notification). Run diary reports, as well as locate and manage files. Maintain inventory and promotional material, as necessary. Coordinate travel arrangements and expense reports for Consultant(s) as requested. Provide general administrative support as requested by the Consultant(s) and/or Senior Case Managers. Assist with special projects and other responsibilities as directed or as appropriate per field office. Key skills/experience required Planning & Organization. Attention to detail & following directions. Reliability Communication Self-sufficient in remote environments. 0-2 years of office experience in a support function. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office. Attention to detail and accuracy. Strong administrative and organizational skills. Ability to learn in-house case management system (Resolver). Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing with a variety of people. Ability to handle multiple competing priorities. Ability to learn travel and expense system. Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office. Experience working in the Financial Settlements, legal, or insurance Industry preferred but not required. Bi-lingual preferred but not required. W ork environment 40-hour work week. Must be available to work flexible hours as needed based on business needs. Regularly communicates both verbally and in writing. Sitting for extended periods of time. Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, and other computer components.
Physical effort and activities include:
Light physical effort is required by handling objects up to 20 pounds occasionally and/or up to 10 pounds frequently.
