Job Summary:
ob Summary This is a Salem Housing Authority position, which is a separate employer from the City of Salem. This position has funding secured through July 31, 2027, and may be extended pending grant renewal. We are currently filling two positions.
Make an impact:
The Salem Housing Authority is seeking a Resident Services Coordinator (RSC), a collaborative role focused on eviction prevention and the empowerment of clients through evidence-based practices. These include Housing First, Motivational Interviewing, Harm Reduction, Trauma-Informed Care, Buried in Treasures hoarding mitigation, Healthy Aging in Place, and Community Health Worker approaches. As part of eviction prevention efforts, the RSC identifies and addresses health-related social needs that impact overall wellness, safety, and housing stability. This role requires the ability to navigate complex, nontraditional human service environments while working effectively with diverse populations. Salem Housing Authority's mission is to assist low- and moderate-income families to achieve self-sufficiency through stable housing, economic opportunity, community investment, and coordination with social service providers. What you will do:
The RSC may collaborate with community partners to support individuals in treatment and recovery, as well as assist family members in supporting loved ones with Opioid Use Disorder (OUD). The role also includes supporting housing retention for individuals experiencing OUD, other Substance Use Disorders (SUD), or mental health conditions that may affect housing stability. This may involve providing resources, facilitating connections to services, or offering mediation with other support systems.

Salary:
$28.55 to $34.74 per Hour
