Training Resources of America, headquartered in Worcester for 50 years, is hiring a Case Manager for the YouthBuild program.
This position is responsible for:
  • organizing/coordinating YouthBuild recruitment activities
  • providing personal, academic and vocational counseling/case management and referral services to clients
  • serving as liaison between classroom and construction site to ensure program consistency;
  • providing self-esteem/life skills/job readiness training to enable students to increase their self-confidence, self-sufficiency and ability to obtain/retain employment;
  • assisting in providing HiSet Preparation to enable participants to increase grade levels and/or obtain a High School Equivalency Certificate;
  • assisting in the provision of leadership development training to help students develop leadership skills and knowledge of the community;
  • assisting with job development activities to help students find employment;
  • maintaining accurate/timely student records and program reports;
  • coordinating field trips and other program activities BA/BS degree and related human service/counseling experience required.
This job also requires strong human relations/communications skills, and the ability to motivate/relate to a diverse, multi-cultural teen population with varying needs/issues. It requires high motivation, flexibility, initiative, creativity and strong organizational skills. It also requires the incumbent to be goal driven and have the ability to work closely with staff in a team approach to achieve overall program goals. It requires that the incumbent have his/her own vehicle for outreach/recruitment/counseling purposes. 35 hours/week; Monday through Friday
