Job Description

Position Summary The Salvation Army Duluth Corps provides case management, staffing, and life skills programming to Plover Place, a 24-unit permanent supportive housing program for single adults experiencing homelessness or at risk of homelessness. The Case Manager is responsible for providing a full range of case management services to the residents. $20.81 to $23.29 per hour, 40 hours a week 319 W Palm St, Duluth, MN 55811 Essential Functions (approximate time spent) Provide long-term strength-based, person-centered holistic case management. (60%) Coordinate services for participants with collaborative agencies. (15%) Assist with program fiscal responsibility including budgeting, grant spending, and billings. (15%) Maintain up-to-date, accurate participant information in casefiles and through database entry. (5%) Engage in internal and external activities/meetings to promote and further The Salvation Army's goals and objectives. (5%) Education and Experience Bachelor's degree in a relevant field. Instead of a degree, education, and experience may be considered. If the degree is in social work, must be licensed by the state board. Experience working in a social service setting conducting long-term case management preferred Must pass background checks, possess a valid driver's license, and meet MVR requirements. Must have at least one year of experience with the target population served. Competencies Flexible interpersonal and communication skills. High level of honor in dealing with confidential information. Works with integrity, valuing honesty, and diligence. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Proficient with PC, Microsoft Office, databases, and standard office equipment. Working Conditions A variety of work including sitting, standing, walking, reaching, bending, typing, and lifting. Professional environment; not eligible for a remote-friendly work environment. Must be able to communicate clearly in English. Standard business hours with occasional evenings and weekends. Must be able to occasionally lift 20 pounds. Supervisory Responsibilities None. Travel/Driving Requirements Drive agency vehicles locally to facilitate case management services.
