Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a highly motivated and
EXPERIENCED
Case Manager - Housing to support individuals in maintaining stable housing. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of housing programs, landlord-tenant laws, and social services. This role involves coordinating resources, providing crisis intervention, and ensuring compliance with Fair Housing regulations. The Case Manager will play a vital role in empowering clients through effective negotiation, motivational interviewing, and personalized support to foster long-term housing stability. Responsibilities Assess clients' housing needs and develop individualized service plans. Assist clients in navigating housing options. Coordinate with landlords, property management companies, and community agencies to facilitate placements and lease agreements. Provide crisis intervention and crisis management to clients facing homelessness or housing instability. Educate clients on landlord-tenant law, Fair Housing regulations, and their rights and responsibilities. Utilize property management software such as Egnyte and Buildium for case documentation and tracking progress. Conduct negotiations with landlords to secure affordable housing solutions for clients. Support clients in overcoming barriers related to addiction, mental health, or other social challenges through counseling techniques like motivational interviewing. Monitor client progress post-placement to ensure ongoing stability and address emerging issues promptly. Maintain accurate case records in compliance with agency policies and regulatory standards. Qualifications Proven experience or knowledge of Homelessness, Section 8, and other housing assistance programs. Strong understanding of landlord-tenant law, Fair Housing regulations, and property management practices. Experience in crisis intervention, crisis management, and addiction counseling preferred. Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to advocate effectively on behalf of clients. Proficiency in social work principles combined with motivational interviewing techniques. Familiarity with property management software such as Yardi and OneSite is highly desirable. Knowledge of Section 8 program requirements and housing voucher processes. Ability to handle sensitive situations with empathy, professionalism, and confidentiality. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in case documentation. Pay:
$22.00 - $25.00 per hour
