District 6 Human Resource Development Council in Lewistown, Montana has an opening for a
LIHEAP Energy Case Manager Accrued PTO:
Vacation and Sick Leave Employee Health Benefits 100% Paid by Employer Retirement Plan 12 Paid Holidays Full-Time Join our team as a full-time Case Manager for our Energy Programs, where you will help families heat their homes, pay utility bills, navigate challenging times, and improve their homes to be safer and more energy efficient. We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to support clients enrolled in the Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP). This role will assist the LIHEAP program manager and involves providing personalized assessments, support, energy conservation guidance, and education. You will also assist in engaging in community outreach and building strong partnerships with local agencies to ensure comprehensive support for our clients. Additionally, this position is cross trained in Program and Referral Assistance to assist when needed, which includes daily front desk coverage, assisting other programs with client scheduling/documentation, and performing general office administrative tasks. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Energy Case Management o Conduct comprehensive client assessments and create individualized service plans o Deliver energy conservation tips, financial education, and workforce development resources o Provide advocacy and supportive counseling for clients and families o Collaborate with utility companies and negotiate on behalf of clients o Coordinate with other community resources and help clients complete applications o Maintain accurate client records and input data in a timely manner o Monitor client progress, offer follow-up services, and adjust plans as needed o Prepare reports and statistical summaries as required o Participate in trainings, public events, and outreach activities o Perform other duties as assigned in support of District 6
HRDC Cross-Train Duties:
Program & Referral Assistant o Assist other programs by meeting with clients to complete required documentation and helping with initial file set-up and scheduling. o Provide front desk coverage during lunches, breaks, or absences, which includes greeting visitors and responding to general inquiries via phone or in person. o Provide referrals to other community services, social service agencies, and internal HRDC programs based on a broad knowledge of all organization services. o Prepare and proofread correspondence, reports, and forms for various staff members. o Enter family and community services data into state database programs and MPACCT on a weekly basis. o Coordinate incoming/outgoing mail and prepare bulk mailings.
