Apple Grove Foster Care is dedicated to providing compassionate and effective services for children and families involved in the foster care system. We specialize in supporting youth placed in foster homes, including higher-level care settings, ensuring they receive the stability, care, and resources needed to thrive.
Position Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated Case Manager to work with foster children and specialized foster homes in Las Vegas, NV . This role involves coordinating services, advocating for youth, supporting foster families, and ensuring compliance with state and agency guidelines. The ideal candidate is passionate about child welfare, skilled in crisis intervention, and experienced in case management.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage a caseload of foster children and higher-level care foster placements. Conduct regular home visits to assess child safety, well-being, and placement stability. Coordinate services, including therapy, medical care, education, and life skills programs. Support and train foster parents to ensure they provide a stable and nurturing environment. Advocate for youth. Maintain compliance with state regulations, agency policies, and documentation standards. Collaborate with social workers, therapists, educators, and other professionals. Respond to crisis situations, providing support and intervention as needed. Ensure timely and accurate case documentation.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Sociology, Behavioral Sciences . At least 2 years of experience working with children in foster care, child welfare, or a related field. Knowledge of Nevada foster care laws and higher-level care placement needs . Strong crisis intervention, communication, and advocacy skills. Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed. Reliable transportation and willingness to travel locally for home visits. Ability to pass a background check and meet state licensing requirements. Must be Medicaid enrolled.
