Job Description

Shelter Case Manager Evenings Join a team of dedicated staff who provide residential support to victims of domestic violence and sexual assault . This confidential domestic violence shelter provides respite for up to 15 victims and their children. The shelter is staffed 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to ensure victims and survivors have access to the services and supports that will assist them in recovery and during their safe transition to housing. The PNWWRC is looking for a dedicated, motivated, self directed individuals who will have the availability to work full-time hours as well as some overtime and holidays as needed. Must have excellent organization skills, computer skills and have the ability to assist in residential facilities daily operations and residential client services. Case Manager/Advocates provide support, advocacy and case management services to shelter residents. They respond to the immediate needs of the residents and hotline callers. They support, coordinate, and advocate for clients with local community providers including but not limited to: Social Services, criminal justice system, housing etc. assists residents with goal development and obtaining housing. They are responsible for following policies and procedures of the agency and ensuring the health, safety and confidentiality of all residents at all times. Key Responsibilities Provide Crisis Intervention Provides individual peer counseling Providing crime victim compensation information and assistance filling out OVS application Provide transportation and accompaniment to various appointments transportation such as DSS, housing, medical, training, education Provide personal and criminal justice support and advocacy Provide follow up to DV victims Provide phone counseling Provide information and referral to DSS, legal services, housing, medical, educational, CPS, DOH, ACS, and preventative services. Responsible for assisting clients in obtaining out of county approval, and applying for payment for shelter stay within 48 hours. All PNWWRC staff are mandated reporters and must adhere to those policies. Assist residents with creation of safety plan and service plan development. Responsible for shelter communication log. Responsible for completing data entries on a daily/weekly basis. Responsible for following all shelter regulations and agency policies and procedures. Responsible for following daily protocols and procedures including daily duties as assigned. Responsible for house supervision. Conducts post exit room clean-up with client and completing the discharge safety exit. Assist in the daily upkeep of the shelter. Attend in-service training sessions as required. Complete intakes for new residents. Hotline phone coverage and responds to all hotline calls per shelter/agency protocol.
Education and Skills :
High School Diploma required Excellent organizational skills Computer skills a must Valid drivers license and clean driving record a must Background checks will be required
