Job Description

Serving with Compassion, Creativity, and Consistency. $22-24 an hour
Position Summary:
The preventive service case worker supports families from diverse backgrounds, addressing needs to help keep families together. They assess risk and safety, work to strengthen and stabilize family functioning, and promote healthy parent-child relationships. Guided by the Program Supervisor, the case worker develops therapeutic relationships and serves as the primary service provider, aligning with the agency's family-centered approach.
Responsibilities:
Maintaining good relationships through collaboration and advocacy on client's behalf with DSS, community agencies, schools, and other service providers. Provide parenting skills groups, advocacy, and counseling for families, addressing needs Completing assessments -including but not limited the FASP, inputting progress notes Maintain comprehensive and timely documentation, including assessments (e.g., FASP), progress notes, and case-specific materials, ensuring accuracy in client records. Facilitate and participate in regular planning conferences, case planning, and service implementation, ensuring the involvement of all relevant service providers. Manage a caseload of 1:16 Requirements Education Bachelors Degree in human services or related field required Experience Some experience working with children or families in human services or related field preferred . Driver's License and ability to maintain insurability throughout employment required .
