Job Description
Provide support and advocacy to victims of domestic violence, sexual assault, human trafficking, and stalking by providing advocacy for sustainable housing.
Location:
Community Works , Medford, OR 97504
Schedule and FTE:
Monday through Friday 40 hours regular schedule each week, within hours of 8 am-5 pm plus sexual assault response on-call rotation

QUALIFICATIONS
Equivalent combination of two years' relevant experience and/or education in helping professions such as advocacy or human services Work well independently, as part of a team, and part of a fast-paced environment Experience working with those in crisis Bilingual English/Spanish preferred but not required
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
Good driving record and valid OR driver's license Personal auto insurance with personal liability minimum of Bodily Injury $100,000 each person, $300,000 each occurrence Successfully pass Background and Abuse Check
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Maintain confidential information concerning the Agency, clients, organizational plans, policies, and strategies. Provide trauma-sensitive advocacy support, empathic listening, safety planning, and resources to clients. Assist clients in preparing/submitting

applications and provide support in moving to housing stability. Accompany clients to appointments; provide transportation on a pre-approved, restrictive basis. Establish and maintain frequent, positive communication with team members, share information willingly, and accept and provide feedback in a supportive, non-judgmental manner. Encourage teamwork by modeling cooperative interaction with colleagues, volunteers, and community members. Use professional interpersonal & conflict resolution skills. Understand domestic violence, sexual assault, stalking, human trafficking, and oppression. Understand legal and civil rights for victims. Work effectively with crisis situations using a trauma-informed approach. Exercise patience, respect and compassion with all clients, co-workers, and community members. Set and maintain limits, and prioritize workload. Work independently, and be highly motivated. Provide education and training to peers and community members as assigned. Work with community partners to better provide wraparound services in our community. Maintain cleanliness and security of residential areas, office space, documents. Perform data entry for statistical reporting and provide information for grant reports in a timely manner. Maintain punctual, consistent attendance. Participate in on-call sexual assault rotation. Attend Agency and community trainings and meetings as assigned. Be flexible and willing to meet Agency needs. Perform other duties as assigned.
