We have just what you need to step up in the position! The Community Support Specialist staff work is in the Philadelphia Area and they report to the main office in the Clifton Heights. The Community Support Specialist supports those in our care to reach their highest potential by providing them with assistance to achieve their goals and their daily activities. About us : Step by Step, Inc is a non-profit organization that provides supports to over 2000 individuals with intellectual disabilities, autism, mental illness, and substance abuse. Our community-based programs provide a setting where individuals we serve can be independent.

• Retirement plan (401k) The essential function of the position includes the following: Meets face-to-face with assigned consumers a minimum of once per calendar week.

Ensures that all goals in consumer's monthly Individual Service Plans are addressed with consumers during on-going contact and that contact notes reflect integration of goal attainment. Attends meetings and conferences with other agencies as needed or required. Monitors consumer's medication intake and immediately reports incorrect medication intakes or non-compliance by consumer to Program Director and appropriate staff of other agencies. Attends and participates in supervision, in-house meetings, consumer case conferences and all other meetings as assigned and required. Handles and oversees petty cash funds advanced by the agency for consumer related expenses. Submits all agency paperwork and written documentation within stipulated, required time frames. The majority of the work hours is performed outdoors or in vehicles in order to transport consumers to appointments, meetings and various social, leisure and recreational activities and events within the community.

Successful candidates will:

be 18 years of age or older have a current driver's license with no suspensions or points within the past three years possess an associates degree or 60 credits from an accredited college or university have no prohibitive criminal offenses have
