Role:
Are you passionate about supporting families and working with children ages 3 to 5? As a Family Service Worker, you'll provide essential support to families through home visits, calls, and emails. What You'll Do:
Provide coverage across Dubois and Grampian area (travel required; mileage/time reimbursed per policy) Work 40 hours/week for 43 weeks/year following a work calendar Assist families in their home with goal planning and completion of program-required paperwork Provide monthly contacts to families via home visits, phone calls, and emails Identify family needs and resources, and assist in setting and working on goals Foster strong communication between families and teachers Promote family self-sufficiency and participation in parent meetings and activities. Support parents in their role as their child's first teacher, offering guidance and practical suggestions. Maintain accurate records of services provided and comply with all required documentation standards. Attend trainings and professional development opportunities to enhance skills.
What We're Looking For:
High school diploma or GED equivalency Willingness to complete Family Service Worker credentialing within 18 months of hire Experience working with both children and adults. Knowledge of community resources. Excellent communication and organizational skills. Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks simultaneously. Basic computer skills and familiarity with Head Start regulations preferred. Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and willingness to travel Flexibility to work occasional evenings based on family needs Must obtain the following clearances prior to hire:
PA State Police Criminal History, PA Child Abuse History, FBI Criminal History, and Mandated Reporting Certificate Perks You'll Love:
