Job Description
Working primarily in Bucks county, the Visitation Worker is responsible for providing program intake, visitation schedule planning, and supervising family visits for children in foster care through Lancaster County Children and Youth. Bucks County workers provide pre and post communication with parents with a focus on parenting support and education. Visits occur at the agency visitation center, in the community or in biological parent homes. The program utilizes the Visitation Coaching model and workers are trained in this model. Supportive contacts with resource families is expected. On going communication with assigned county case workers and team meetings are required. Strong family engagement skills and communication is required. There is a $1000. sign-on incentive for this position. Visitation Worker will preferably have Bachelor or Master's degree in Social Work. A Human Services Degree is required. Experience in child welfare or parenting is expected.
