In-Person $16.00 - $20.00 per Hour 3 Years Experience Post-secondary academic degree, Associate degree No Commission 40.00 hours per week / Day, Evening Shift / Full-Time / Hours May Vary Description Schuylkill Hope Center (SHC) is seeking a compassionate, trauma-informed Counselor / Advocate to support survivors of domestic violence. This role focuses on emotional safety, safety planning, and accompaniment to help families thrive in a supportive environment. Paid training is provided for all new employees. Flexible scheduling may be required to meet client needs. This position include participation in a shared on-call rotation. Key Responsibilities Provide crisis intervention and trauma informed empowerment options, and safety planning to all clients. Support clients in creating long-term goals. Assess immediate safety needs for clients seeking services. Assist clients in petitioning for Protection from Abuse orders. Prepare survivors for court proceedings, including informing survivors of their rights, available options through civile and/or criminal court system, provide court accompaniment and advocate on behalf of survivors in the legal system. Qualifications Minimum of 3 years of experience in social services or bachelor's degree in social services, human services, or related field. Strong advocacy and communication skills Ability to work effectively with clients, law enforcement, and community partners Required clearances: Child Abuse Clearance, Criminal Background Check, Driving Record Check, and FBI Clearance Compensation & Benefits
Starting Hourly Range:
$16.00 to $20.00
