Since 1954, our nonprofit organization has been dedicated to advancing medical education, promoting physician wellness, and ensuring excellence in patient care across Pennsylvania. Our Peer Assistance Monitoring Programs (PAMP), Physicians' Health Program (PHP), and Nurses' Health Program (NHP) provide critical support to healthcare professionals facing impairment challenges. Through advocacy, education, and recovery monitoring, we help individuals reclaim their careers—and their lives. Why This Role Matters In this role, you won't just be handling administrative tasks—you'll be part of a lifeline for healthcare professionals navigating recovery and professional accountability. As an Assistant Case Manager , you'll serve as a key point of contact, providing support, coordination, and oversight that helps ensure participants stay on track and succeed. Your work directly contributes to safer healthcare environments and stronger professional communities. What You'll Do Be the first point of connection—take check-in calls from participants Facilitate the set-up and approval of drug test monitoring Prepare advocacy letters that make a meaningful difference in participants' professional journeys Review participant drug test reports Enters and assists in tracking prescriptions Entering monitoring agreement amendments Assisting with billing What You Bring Education & Experience Bachelor's degree in a Human Services related field preferred or equivalent experience At least 3 years of experience in a similar role Skills & Strengths Understanding of addiction and recovery—your insight matters here Exceptional ability to manage sensitive and confidential information Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to stay calm, focused, and effective in high-pressure situations A proactive problem-solver who can work independently and as part of a team Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook Valid state-issued driver's license Who Thrives Here You'll be successful in this role if you are: Compassionate, yet professional and objective Highly organized and able to manage shifting priorities A strong communicator who is comfortable handling sensitive conversations Passionate about supporting others through challenging situations What to Expect This is a dynamic role where no two days are the same. Due to the nature of the program, urgent calls and participant needs may take priority—flexibility and responsiveness are key. This is a full-time, Monday - Friday, 8:30 am to 5 pm position.
