Summary As a Case Management Specialist at Gainwell Technologies, you will support healthcare recovery operations by managing cases from initiation through resolution. This role involves researching third-party liability, coordinating with legal and healthcare stakeholders, and ensuring timely and accurate case progression. You will work in a structured, deadline-driven environment where attention to detail, communication, and analytical skills are essential to achieving successful recovery outcomes. Your role in our mission Manage and maintain a caseload from creation through recovery, ensuring accurate and timely documentation Communicate with attorneys, court staff, healthcare providers, recipients, and internal stakeholders via phone and written correspondence Research and validate third-party liability, probate matters, and beneficiary assets Prepare and process claims, liens, and related legal documentation to support case progression Negotiate and resolve claim or lien settlements in accordance with contract guidelines Review and analyze case documentation to determine status and ensure workflow progression Track and prioritize case deadlines, including legal and revenue-impacting milestones Conduct follow-ups on case status, disputes, and payment resolution Compile and analyze information from multiple sources to support decision-making and case outcomes What we're looking for High school diploma or GED required; Associate degree preferred Experience in a legal office, Medicaid environment, or case management role preferred (e.g., paralegal, legal assistant, caseworker) Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills What you should expect in this role Fully remote work environment (equipment and connectivity requirements apply) Up to 10% travel may be required depending on business needs Video cameras must be used during all interviews, as well as during the initial week of orientation. To work effectively as a teleworker or hybrid positions with Gainwell, employees must have a broadband internet connection with a minimum speed of 24 Mbps download and 8 Mbps upload. #LI-JA1 #LI-CM1 The pay range for this position is $24,700.00 - $35,300.00 per year, however, the base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
