Job Description

Position Overview The Family Services Supervisor leads The Hive's case management team, providing supervision, coaching, and quality oversight for Family Navigators, while maintaining a modified direct service caseload. This role requires someone who can operate both as a skilled case manager and as a supportive leader - walking alongside both team members and the families we serve with compassion, competence, and a calm presence. Key Responsibilities Team Supervision & Leadership Provide weekly individual supervision for 2-3 Family Navigators Train and onboard new team members Monitor caseload distribution, team capacity, and quality of case documentation Model trauma-informed, strength-based practice Partner with Executive Director on program development Direct Case Management Maintain modified caseload using trauma-informed, relational approach Conduct needs assessments and create individualized action plans alongside members Connect members to housing, employment, healthcare, legal support, benefits, education, and other resources Coordinate with community partners, and advocate with systems when needed Maintain deep knowledge of community resources Complete timely documentation (case notes, assessments, action plans, progress tracking) Organizational Contribution Participate in organizational planning, team meetings, and case consultations Represent The Hive at community meetings and partner events Track outcomes and contribute to grant reporting Support continuous program improvement
Qualifications Required:
3-5 years in case management or related human services field 1-2 years providing supervision, training, or mentoring to direct service staff Alignment with The Hive's values: belonging, resilience, community, accountability, restoration Deep understanding of challenges faced by the population served Demonstrated understanding of trauma's impact and how to create safety in relationships Strong knowledge of community resources Self-awareness, ability to hold boundaries Strong documentation, time management, and follow-through Reliable vehicle and valid driver's license (fieldwork) Comfortable with case management systems, Google Workspace, and virtual tools Successful completion of background check required (we work with people with criminal histories and assess case-by-case) Deep compassion for all people
Preferred:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Social Work, Human Services, or related field Bilingual (Spanish/English) Experience with families involved in child welfare system Compensation & Benefits Hourly rate: $30-35 / hour based on experience
Hours:
32-40 hours / week
Schedule:
Monday, Tuesday, Thursday in-office, Wednesday, Friday remote Flexible within 8am-5pm - some client work & outreach may be required with advance notice outside traditional hours Work environment: Hybrid (office time, fieldwork, remote)
