As the leading advocate for older adults in the region, AAABC designs, funds, and oversees programs that enhance quality of life. We serve as your comprehensive resource for information and services tailored to older adults, their families, and caregivers—making it easier to navigate aging with confidence and care. Make a Difference Every Day — Become a Medicaid Benefits Counselor! Do you thrive on helping people overcome barriers and access life‑changing services? As a Medicaid Benefits Counselor , you'll be a trusted guide for individuals navigating the Medicaid Long-Term Care eligibility process. Your advocacy and expertise will empower clients to improve their quality of life and achieve greater independence.
What You'll Do:
Conduct screenings, assessments, and eligibility reviews. Provide clear, supportive guidance on Medicaid rules and benefits. Assist clients with documentation, forms, and application submission. Coordinate with DCF/ACCESS, CARES, and community partners. Maintain accurate data in eCIRTS. Engage in outreach to expand awareness of Medicaid programs. Educate clients on PACE, SMMCLTC, and other long‑term care options.
What You Bring:
Relevant degree or experience in casework, intake, or human services. Strong communication, critical‑thinking, and problem‑solving skills. Commitment to compassionate service and client advocacy. After successful full-time, on-site training of 2 -3 months, the position will become Hybrid.
