Job Description
Job Summary:
The Resident Services Coordinator for Rapid Re-Housing will provide case management in a Housing First/Scattered Site model to help residents maintain stable housing, increase income and financial stability, and improve their quality of life. Rapid Re-Housing Expansion Program is a Rapid re-housing scattered site program for singles and families throughout Miami Dade County with some units specifically designated for victims and survivors of domestic violence. The position involves having knowledge of and experience working with domestic violence, homeless individuals and families, chemical dependency, unemployment, mental illness, community resources, barriers and the delivery of direct services to individual clients as assigned in their home. The RSC RRH will provide support, advocacy, safety planning, and counseling to victims of domestic violence, sexual assault and human trafficking in the community. This position is based in South Dade with remote working options and requires travel throughout Miami Dade County.Essential Duties/Expectations:
- Conduct coordinated intakes, assessments, and screenings based on CoC guidelines to determine housing eligibility continuously.
- Assist applicants in navigating housing searches, leasing processes, landlord mediation, and understanding tenant/landlord rights and responsibilities.
- Collaborate with residents to complete initial assessments and develop individualized Housing Stability Plans (HSP) outlining short and long-term goals.
- Develop survivor-centered, strengths-based housing plans, identifying barriers to housing and establishing paths to stability, reviewed and updated every 90 days .
- Support households in creating safety plans to mitigate risks posed by abusers and actions to reduce these risks.
- Conduct scheduled home visits, as safety permits, at least monthly, with each household and survivor, frequency determined collaboratively.
- Utilize evidence-based practices like Case Management, Motivational Interviewing, Trauma-Informed Care, Critical Time Intervention and low barrier housing practices to assist in income generation, self-sufficiency, and housing stability.
- Provide crisis intervention, safety planning, information, and referrals.
- Coordinate with community providers for additional services such as housing stabilization, money management, employment training, and health care.
- Facilitate daily living skills workshops and provide individualized teaching as per HSP.
- Refer clients to victim services providers for additional supportive services.
- Provide crisis counseling, case management, and financial assistance leading to safe and stable housing.
- Demonstrate experience in eviction prevention and crisis intervention.
- Maintain client records per policy, ensuring compliance with HMIS and timely data entry.
- Attend scheduled meetings, workshops, trainings, and Continuum of Care housing meetings.
- Receive training on domestic violence, PTSD, trauma-informed care, and de-escalation.
- Possess strong interpersonal skills and advocacy for client support.
- Manage an average caseload of 20-24 clients, including intake applicants and those in housing search.
- Provide counseling, risk assessment, safety planning, goal setting, and referrals to other support services for survivors and their children.
- Encourage participation in domestic violence support groups.
- Cross-train across programs/departments to support program success.
- Perform other duties as assigned to ensure program success.
- Report to the Program Supervisor.

Minimum Requirements:
Education/Experience:
Four-year Bachelor's degree and/or 1-3 years' experience working with domestic violence and crisis intervention services; Ability to serve underserved populations and provide culturally appropriate services to people from diverse backgrounds.- Ability to work with applicants and participants with mental health issues, disabilities, survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, and other violent and traumatic crimes, and individuals in crisis
