Real Skills for Youth - Case Manager Blackstone Valley Community Action Program - 3.6 Pawtucket, RI Job Details Part-time $20 an hour 1 hour ago Qualifications Spanish Teamwork Client rapport building Driver's License Cultural competency Education Organizational skills Associate's degree Full Job Description Job Profile The Case Manager supports youth ages 14-18 enrolled in the Real Skills for Youth (RSFY) Summer Work Program. This position provides case management, career readiness support, and ongoing guidance to help participants succeed in their work placements and prepare for future education and employment pathways. The Case Manager plays a key role in building supportive relationships with youth, helping them develop essential workplace skills, and connecting them to resources that promote long-term success. Primary Duties / Essential Functions Youth Support & Case Management
  • Conduct intake, screening, and enrollment for youth participants
  • Support youth in developing soft skills, workplace readiness, and job retention strategies
  • Serve as a consistent point of contact for youth throughout their summer employment Program Support & Monitoring
  • Assist in facilitating pre-employment training sessions and program orientations
  • Conduct site visits to monitor youth progress and workplace experiences
  • Communicate regularly with employers to address concerns and support youth success
  • Track attendance, timesheets, and participant performance Data & Reporting
  • Maintain accurate and timely records of youth participation, case notes, and outcomes
  • Submit documentation in compliance with GWB and BVCAP requirements
  • Support reporting and data collection for program evaluation and funding purposes Collaboration
  • Work closely with the Program Manager, Job Coaches, and program staff
  • Refer youth to supportive services such as academic support, housing assistance, food security, and counseling
  • Collaborate with community partners to ensure youth receive comprehensive support Other Duties
  • Attend required trainings, team meetings, and supervision sessions
  • Support outreach and recruitment efforts for youth participants
  • Perform additional duties as assigned Education Requirement and Prior Work Experience
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Human Services, Education, Workforce Development, or related field preferred
  • Equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of formal education
  • Experience working with youth and young adults in education, workforce, or social service settings preferred Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Strong communication, motivational interviewing, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to build rapport and maintain supportive relationships with youth
  • Cultural competence and ability to work with diverse populations
  • Strong organizational skills to manage caseloads, timesheets, and documentation
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish, Portuguese, or other languages) highly desirable
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required Physical Demands and Work Environment The physical demands and work environment described are representative of those required to perform the essential functions of this position:
  • Combination of office-based and field work, including visits to youth worksites
  • Frequent travel within the Blackstone Valley service area
  • Ability to sit, stand, and engage with youth and partners for extended periods
  • Use of standard office equipment (laptop, phone, etc.)
  • Fast-paced, seasonal work environment requiring flexibility and attention to detail

$20.00 per hour
