Bridge Refugee Services (BRS) is seeking a qualified individual to fill the role of Case Manager. The Case Manager is responsible for providing targeted direct supportive services to refugee and other immigrant clients as they navigate the resettlement process. This role involves assessing needs, developing service plans, coordinating access to resources, and advocating for clients as they work toward self-sufficiency. The Case Manager delivers services in a culturally sensitive, trauma-informed, and client-centered manner in alignment with federal, state, and local resettlement guidelines. This position will require strong problem-solving skills, experience working with individuals of diverse backgrounds, and a commitment to keeping thorough documentation. Current funding for this position comes from the Refugee Support Services grant of the Tennessee Office of Refugees. This position reports to the Program Manager. The regular work schedule is Monday through Friday during standard business hours. Occasional evening, weekend, or off-site field work arise based on organizational needs. Mileage reimbursement is available.
Notable Duties and Responsibilities:
Conduct intake assessments and develop individualized service plans for clients. Assist clients to develop a Self-Sufficiency Plan to identify and accomplish their resettlement goals for the duration of the program. Meet with clients to create realistic plans to overcome their barriers. Empower clients to access relevant community and social services resources independently such as childcare, counseling, specialized medical assistance, and programs for individuals with disabilities. Refer clients to additional resources and services available internally. Contact clients on a regular basis to track their progress and current needs. Transport clients to occasional appointments and advocate for them with medical service providers. Support the Employment team on matters concerning client job development and job placement. Coordinate closely with other Bridge staff members serving the client. Request volunteer assistance as needed. Maintain proper documentation of services provided to clients, especially case notes. Produce required reports on time. Participate in staff meetings, training, and community outreach events as assigned.
Required Skills and Abilities:
Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience) in Social Work, Human Services, International Studies, or a related field fluency in the English language experience in a social or human services environment, or significant cross-cultural experience preference for candidates who speak Arabic and Spanish preference for candidates who have case management or related social services experience preference for candidates with experience working effectively with interpreters strong communication and problem-solving skills familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel, Google Suite, and data entry software ability to work well with a team, work under pressure, meet deadlines, and prioritize tasks ability and willingness to work occasional evenings and weekends. valid TN driver's license and transportation
