In this role, you will serve as a vital link between community members and essential services, providing outreach, support, and advocacy to promote well-being and stability. Your energetic approach will help empower clients to navigate difficult situations, access resources, and achieve positive outcomes. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to engage directly with diverse populations, including vulnerable children, adults, and families, while fostering community resilience. Responsibilities Provide crisis intervention, peer counseling, and advocacy services Conduct intakes, safety planning, and needs/goal assessments Connect clients to resources and support access to legal options, including crime victim compensation Accompany clients to hospitals, law enforcement, and court proceedings Respond to hotline calls and provide trauma-informed support Maintain accurate records and documentation in client database Collaborate with community partners and participate in outreach/education efforts Assist with volunteer coordination and training as assigned Transport clients as needed
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree preferred (relevant experience may substitute) Knowledge of domestic violence and sexual assault dynamics Strong communication, crisis management, and organizational skills Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred Proficient in Microsoft Office Valid driver's license and insured personal vehicle required
Additional Requirements:
Ability to maintain confidentiality, professionalism, and sound judgment Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and on-call response Ability to manage multiple priorities with minimal supervision
Physical Requirements:
