Job Description

Case Study Manager will screen and identify eligible households by an application process for available program components and will maintain an active caseload of not less than 50-75 cases throughout a calendar year or a 12 month program year, or as funds permit. Provide services thru detailed case management in order to identify and address needs, establish attainable goals and short-term tasks for clients, and ultimately to move the households towards a measurable outcome of energy and self-sufficiency. Workers will be responsible for the timely scheduling of Appeal Hearings, case reviews, and/or case inspections. Workers will conduct all necessary and assigned outreach, public speaking engagements, and/or handouts to promote community service awareness. Volume of work may increase at peak seasons and will require that the work schedule accommodates for increase in work load and/or plans and procedures for on-going changes and/or updates, funding related issues and/or compliance measures, as needed. Worker will perform all duties necessary in delivering services to our public including answering the telephone, faxing and making copies, and maintaining a clean reception area. Employee will be observed and evaluated once a year for quality and quantity of work, attendance and overall efficiency. Establish and maintain a positive and professional working relationship with all clients. Performs all duties as assigned and instructed by Executive Director or Program Specialist. Must maintain and active caseload, not less than 50-75 household throughout the year. Be knowledgeable and comply with all departmental policies and procedures, meet specific federal program compliance requirements successfully, and maintain a 10% margin of error or less in all daily case determinations. Promote a positive image of the department and Agency in the community and maintain a high level of professionalism and moral character at all times. Will conduct home visits, public speaking engagements, and provide extensive outreach for the department. Must adhere to assigned time lines for appointment scheduling per client and reporting purposes. Must comply with field rotations to satellite offices, as directed. Must re-schedule respective client appointments in due case of absence. Will be responsible for the timely scheduling of Appeal Hearings, case reviews, and/or case inspections. Must attend all in-house, instructional trainings and/or out of town trainings as assigned. Identify and respond to community needs. Will develop and maintain a cooperative network of organizations for the purpose of client recruitment, referral pool for services, and/or in response to community awareness. Must follow-up and report on outcomes of referrals that were made to agencies. Assist in the development of resources to meet anticipated demands. Provide information to the general public as instructed. Will be responsible for maintaining a well-organized filing system for his/her personal desk area and assist with the general office/clerical requirements. Type forms, correspondence, and other materials as generated for department purposes; proofreads all work for accuracy and neatness. Prepare and complete accurate case files, data entry, and weekly reports. Responsible for maintaining a good attendance record and complying with personal policies. Work in harmony with all department staff, adhere to agency dress code, and perform any and/or all duties assigned to insure the efficiency and effectiveness of the department.

Bachelor's Degree and two (2) year experience in full time casework, including oral interviews, program eligibility, and/or income related eligibility determination. State Licensure for Social Work may be considered. Bilingual is preferred; must complete both oral and written case profiles. Must have computer knowledge such as MS Word, Excel, etc. for data entry and spreadsheet.
Registration, Certification, and Licensure:
Must have proof of a current valid Texas Driver's License. Must have a reliable vehicle and valid liability insurance while employed.
