Full Job Description Job Summary:

The Federal Case Manager is responsible for the provision of case management services to Federal clients of the Community Corrections Center. The Federal Case Manager ensures that all requirements of the Statement of Work and VOA-TX Policies and Procedures are applied equally to all Federal clients. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Coordinates intake and orientation of new clients within established time frames. Conducts and/or coordinates client assessments to determine needs and service plans. Utilizes assessment data to determine the focus of an offender's pursuits in the RRC, LSI-R, PREA, i.e. employment, educational/vocational training, volunteer work, etc. Utilizes assessment data and input from resident and staff to determine if resident has any special needs for services, e.g., significant medical or mental issues, substance abuse treatment, specialized counseling, or other needs that could be served by community resources. Establishes implement and revises the Individual Goals and Objectives/Treatment with the families, other agencies and community resources as appropriate. Counsels clients on personal, family, financial, employment, behavioral, and crisis matters. Documents services regularly, as prescribed by contract and maintains complete and current case files and records. Advises Assistant Facility Director on discipline, special needs, and emergencies; recommend appropriate action or alternatives. Coordinates the release of clients from program either back into the community or to an institution as appropriate. Conducts Living Skills and group counseling sessions as directed; utilizes authorized curriculum during group sessions. Monitors and notifies staff of potential psychological crisis with individual clients that may affect the operation of the program or the facility. Assumes On-Call Supervisor responsibilities as directed. Serves as VOA representative with sponsoring agencies, institutions, and community resources on an as needed basis. Meets with all assigned clients as directed. Prepares release paperwork on all clients within the specific time frames. Reviews all passes and coordinate them with the Assistant Facility Director and sponsoring agency as required. Implements all Volunteers of America Texas Policies and Procedures, Personnel Policies, Standard Operating Procedures, and management directives. Promotes an organizational culture that fosters passion for the mission, cooperation, open and frequent communication, teamwork, and is in alignment with the organizational vision Attends all required meetings and trainings. Requires regular attendance and punctuality during the scheduled shift to perform the above essential functions. Performs other duties and special assignments as directed. Financial Management Ensures management of the program's resources within budget. Within the scope of responsibility, adheres to budget guidelines, including expenditures, billing for services, P-Card documentation, etc.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

This position does not have direct organizational supervisory responsibilities.

40+ hours per week Must be willing to work some evenings and weekends (flexible work scheduling to meet needs of organization/clients) Some travel may be required Criminal and educational background check Approval from BOP to work with Federal clients, if applicable Must use personal (non-agency) vehicle for transportation If driving frequently for VOA-TX business: MVR background check (good driving record) Valid Texas driver's license Proof of Insurance

QUALIFICATIONS

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily and must successfully complete any required training and acquire any required certifications within prescribed timeframes. EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's Degree in social, human services, criminal justice or behavioral science. A minimum of one year experience in human services, corrections or community based services. Or a combination of education and work experience - exchange one year of work experience for one year of academic education. Or a minimum of five years' experience in lieu of education.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

Valid Texas Drivers' License, clear MVR and ability to be insured.
