About MaDorCARE MaDorCARE is a community-centered behavioral health organization serving children, adolescents, adults, and families in Fort Worth and surrounding communities. Our model combines Mental Health Targeted Case Management (MHTCM), Mental Health Rehabilitative Services (MHR), outpatient behavioral health treatment, care coordination, family support, and community-based services. We are seeking Mental Health Case Workers who want to help individuals and families improve stability, functioning, independence, and access to care. The Opportunity The Mental Health Case Worker will provide authorized community-based behavioral health services under MaDorCARE's

MHTCM/MHR

program. Depending on qualifications, training, assigned privileges, and the individual's treatment plan, responsibilities may include targeted case management, skills training, psychosocial rehabilitation, medication training and support, care coordination, and related community-based services. This role is well suited for someone who is comfortable working directly with individuals and families in homes, schools, shelters, community settings, office settings, and approved telehealth environments. Key Responsibilities Help individuals identify behavioral health, medical, housing, transportation, educational, employment, and community-support needs. Connect clients with appropriate healthcare, behavioral health, social-service, and community resources. Make referrals and assist clients with accessing needed services. Coordinate care with therapists, psychiatric providers, healthcare providers, schools, hospitals, families, and community organizations. Monitor progress toward treatment and service-plan goals. Advocate for clients when barriers prevent access to needed services. Provide authorized skills training and rehabilitative interventions based on the client's treatment plan. Help clients develop practical skills related to communication, coping, independent living, community integration, transportation, money management, and use of natural supports when clinically appropriate. Identify changes in symptoms, functioning, safety, or living circumstances and promptly escalate concerns through MaDorCARE's clinical process. Complete timely, accurate, and defensible service documentation. Participate in required training, case consultation, quality review, and clinical supervision. Maintain professional boundaries and protect confidential health information. Texas Medicaid permits properly credentialed QMHP-CS personnel to provide MHTCM and multiple MHR services, including skills training, psychosocial rehabilitation, medication training/support, and certain crisis services when all applicable requirements are satisfied. What This Role Does Not Do Mental Health Case Workers do not independently: diagnose mental-health conditions; provide psychotherapy; prescribe medication; determine medical necessity reserved for an LPHA; independently alter a client's authorized Level of Care. Those functions are handled by appropriately licensed MaDorCARE clinicians. Minimum Qualifications Candidates must be able to meet MaDorCARE's requirements for credentialing as a Qualified Mental Health Professional-Community Services (QMHP-CS) .

This generally requires:

a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with qualifying behavioral-health, social-science, human-services, nursing, rehabilitation, counseling, education, or related coursework sufficient to meet Texas QMHP-CS requirements; or another qualifying professional route recognized under Texas requirements; completion of MaDorCARE's standardized QMHP-CS training; demonstrated competency in assigned duties; ability to pass background, exclusion, education, and credential-verification requirements; reliable transportation for assigned community-based work; reliable phone, internet, and technology for documentation and communication. Texas requires QMHP-CS personnel to complete standardized training, demonstrate competency, and meet an approved education or professional qualification route.

CANS / ANSA

Current Texas behavioral-health CANS and/or ANSA certification is strongly preferred but not required to apply . A staff member may not independently administer the applicable CANS or ANSA until MaDorCARE has verified current certification and competency. Texas requires assessment administrators to maintain current CANS or ANSA certification, renewed annually. Candidates with

Assignments may include work in:

clients' homes; schools; shelters; community locations; MaDorCARE offices; and approved telehealth settings. Travel within Fort Worth and surrounding communities may be required.
