Intervention Specialist Job Description:
Conduct outreach and networking efforts that directly impact the target population residing in the service area. Conduct presentations targeting individuals with a history of trauma, substance use, mental health concerns, and those at high risk for developing behavioral health conditions. Raise awareness of IHCP services and provide accessible resources and referrals for participants needing support. Provide appropriate screenings to identify high-risk participants and intervention needs. Screen individuals identified during outreach or referred to the program to initiate supportive services and/or provide referrals as needed. Visit participants and families in appropriate locations, including public areas such as libraries, community centers, churches, the office, or through home visits, to explain supportive services and available resources. Conduct follow-ups with participants who have received referrals by the program through in-person, virtual, or telephonic methods within the required time.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Sociology, or equivalent. Must have reliable transportation as travel is required. Bilingual in English and Spanish. Some travel required within service area and must have current TX driver's license with current liability insurance
