Job Description

JOB TITLE
Qualified Mental Health Professional We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP-A) specializing in adult mental health to join our team. The ideal candidate will be able to provide necessary treatment and social supports through individualized counseling and life skills training to adults 18 years of age and older who, due to mental illness, would otherwise have difficulties maintaining community stability and independence. Some of the major areas of focus would include daily living skills training, accessing community resources, health and safety, financial management, and social supports. Mental Health Skill Building services are individualized, person centers, and are facilitated in the individual's home and their community.
Key Responsibilities:
Services are primarily provided via face to face involvement with the individuals and other family members primarily within the home although they may occur in various community settings . Ongoing assessment of the treatment needs Assist in the development and ongoing monitoring and implementation of Individual Service Plan Case management functions of linking and arranging for services and referrals Maintain continuous contact with the identified individual and other key stakeholders (with signed authorizations to release information) in planning and service delivery. These stakeholders might include but are not limited to social workers, psychiatrists, court officials, police, teachers (if applicable), and other human service professionals. Educate individual if applicable caregivers/family members regarding existing community services and act as an advocate in connecting individual/families to the services Respond to family crisis on a 24 hour, 7 day a week basis Maintain up-to-date records, and prepare required/necessary reports in a timely and accurate manner Attend court and other appointments as necessary Establish a good working relationship with other public and private agencies/services and interface collaboratively with them
Minimum Qualifications:
Must have current registration/license QMHP with the state, and i. Be a physician; or ii. Have a master's degree in psychology from an accredited college or university with at least 1 year of clinical experience; or iii. Have a social work bachelor's or master's degree from an accredited college or university with at least 1 year of clinical experience with individuals; or iv. Be a registered nurse with at least 1 year of clinical experience with children, adults, and or adolescents; or v. Have at least a bachelor's degree in a human service field or in special education from an accredited college and with at least 1 year of experience We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP) with expertise in child and adolescent mental health to join our team. The ideal candidate will be expected to model through their behaviors and attitudes the values of New Beginning Family Services, LLC as outlined in the policy and procedures manual. Services are time-limited interventions that provided typically, but not solely, in the home of the individual who is either at risk of being moved into an out-of-home placement, being transitioned back into a home from an out-of-home placement due to documented needs of the individual, or working with a centered based individual.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide intensive in-home, crisis-oriented counseling and case management to youths and their families. Act in a professional and courteous manner at all times while performing the duties of QMHP Work with individuals to foster the development of new improved coping, problem solving, and communication skills, case management, etc. and any goals as directly related to the individual'd individualized service plan Develop individualized service plans tin conjunction with referring agencies, other social services professionals, and any stakeholder directly involved in the care of the youths and their families served. Implement service plans and monitor progress Develop monthly, quarterly, ad discharge reports Respond or arrange for a response to calls on "family crisis", on a 24 hour, 7 day a week basis Maintain up-to-date individualized reports, and prepare the necessary reports in a timely and accurate manner Participate in clinical supervision and sessions on a regular basis ] Support directors and administration as required This position requires a mandatory approved criminal registry and CPS check
Minimum Qualifications:

Have a master's degree in psychology from an accredited college or university with at least 1 year of clinical experience; or iii. Have a social work bachelor's or master's degree from an accredited college or university with at least 1 year of clinical experience with children and adolscents; or iv. Be a registered nurse with at least 1 ear of clinical experience with children, and adolescents; or v. Have at least a bachelor's degree in a human service field or in special education from an accredited college with at least 1 year of experience Clinical experience mean providing direct clinical services to individuals with mental illness. It includes supervised internships, practicum's, and field experience. A human services field is defined as social work, psychology, sociology, or counseling. Knowledge, Skills, and ability: Ability to provide and/or deliver various skill building activities Ability and skills for enhancing caregiver roles Ability to assist individuals in developing daily and community living skills Ability to assist individuals in.developing behavior and anger management skills Ability to listen effectively Knowledge of child and adolescent development Knowledge of factors which may contribute to family dysfunction Knowledge of behavioral management techniques General knowledge of community resources and services Knowledge of crisis prevention strategies
Training and Certification Requirements:
Staff must be certified and trained in CPR First Aid TOVA Oriented to the agency's guidelines, policy, and procedures, and take part in all staff trainings as they occur Must be certified as Tuberculosis free with up-to-date TB results Must clear criminal background and CPS registry checks QMHP's are required to use their personal vehicles for visits and engaging in community activities. Therefore, at the time of hire, QMHP must provide proof of driver's license, driving record, and proof of vehicle insurance. Should a QMHP receive a moving traffic violation at any time after their hire date, the QMHP must notify the Clinical staff about the incident the next business day after the violation. Further, QMHP's will be taken off the schedule if their insurance has a lapse in it, until it is fully met again.
